Find clear answers about purchasing, platforms, privacy, downloads, file formats, projects, and recovery.

Where can I buy Lunar Paint?

Choose Buy in the site header to purchase directly from LunarPaint.com or select the store that matches your platform in the purchase section.

Which platforms does Lunar Paint support?

Lunar Paint is available for Windows, Mac, and Linux. The platform downloads and license details included with an order are shown at checkout.

Is $9.95 a subscription?

No. The $9.95 USD price is a one-time purchase for a perpetual license to use the release you buy. The license does not expire and there is no recurring app fee. Update entitlements are shown at checkout.

How do I download Lunar Paint again later?

You will not need a Lunar Paint password. Open Lemon Squeezy's My Orders page, enter the email address used at checkout, and use the secure magic link sent to that address. Your order page provides the currently available Windows, Mac, or Linux downloads and the license key associated with the purchase.

Does Lunar Paint collect or send my information?

No usage analytics, telemetry, advertising identifiers, artwork, filenames, or editing activity are sent to Lunar Paint. The desktop application works locally without a required cloud account. Files, preferences, imported fonts, and recovery copies stay on your computer unless you choose to move or share them. A store or payment provider will still process the information needed to complete a purchase under its own privacy terms.

What does a .lunar project keep editable?

A Lunar Paint Project preserves the canvas, resolution, paint layers, groups, masks, live adjustments, visibility, opacity, blend modes, editing and transparency locks, and color-space metadata. Earlier project files remain openable.

Does Lunar Paint preserve Photoshop layers?

No. PSD interoperability is flattened. Lunar Paint can preserve the rendered appearance for supported import and export workflows, but it does not retain PSD layer structure. Keep editable Lunar Paint work in a .lunar project.

How does automatic recovery work?

When recovery is enabled in Preferences, Lunar Paint periodically writes atomic recovery copies for changed documents. A startup recovery browser lets you explicitly recover or discard available copies. A successful save or explicit discard removes the corresponding recovery copy.

Does Lunar Paint send my artwork to a server?

No. Lunar Paint is designed for local work, and its production application blocks ordinary network requests. Artwork is opened, edited, recovered, and saved on your computer. The website contact form does not accept artwork attachments.

Why do some formats become a single image?

PNG, JPEG, WebP, GIF, BMP, TGA, AVIF, HEIC, DDS, TIFF, flattened PSD, ICO, PDF, and SVG are delivery or interoperability formats. They do not preserve Lunar Paint's editable layer model. Save a .lunar copy before exporting a finished image.

Where can I ask a support question?

Use the Contact Support page. Include your operating system, the action you were taking, the file format involved, and any exact error wording. Do not submit confidential artwork or sensitive personal information.
